Laundry Basket Peek-A-Boo

While Papa has been back at work for almost a month now, it was Momma's first week back in the classroom. She was pretty tired each night but still found time to keep up on some house work. One of my favorite things to do is to help fold the laundry. I'm so big now that I can climb into the basket without any help!

Momma had just finished washing some bedding and I thought it would be funny to play Peek-A-Boo with the pillow cover.
"Where's Leinna?" Momma would say.

Ha,ha...Peek-A-Boo!
Momma just laughed and laughed. I think she needed me to be funny to relieve some of her back to school stress.

The only other news to share is a have 2 molars coming in now! Oh, and I use to have to crawl over to something to pull myself up to start walking. Well, this week I figured out how to stand up anytime and anyplace!!
Be sure to make someone laugh this week- smiles are contagious!

Remembering the Sunshine

The fall weather has arrived in Cordova, which means rain, wind, rain, rain and more rain! I'm really not complaining, as we have had an amazing summer! Last weekend we enjoyed some late summer sun out at Hartney Bay.

Leinna loves taking a ride in her stroller!

Not too happy to be told to stand still when there was rocks to play with. However, Papa did a gerat job capturing the photo!

Just love this photo of Leinna taking her Papa for a walk down the beach.

Finally - nothing related to Hartney Bay, but rather Leinna's idea of helping momma out.

Papa is headed to Fairbanks for a moose hunting trip in September and asked that we stitch up the tear in his sleeping bag. Leinna had a great time laying and rolling around while I kept trying to keep the fabric lined up to stitch together. We ended up accomplishing the task- but I'm sure it would have been completed much sooner had Leinna found another way to help :O)

Ouch!

Before birth, Leinna was a very active baby. After she was born, not much changed. She didn't like to be held a lot and was busy trying to figure out how to roll over from a very a young age. She continues to be a little busy body, which shouldn't surprise me as I am very much the same way. I don't know how to just sit still unless I'm 1) ill or 2) sleeping.

Leinna is enjoying her new found freedom of walking and the art of falling as she looses her balance. She's also enjoying all the fun new toys at day care. In fact, she was having fun on one toy and when she tried to get off the toy, her foot got stuck and she toppled over onto the rocks. She needs to learn quickly to use her hands to break her fall, otherwise her face/head is going to be sore for awhile. :O)

As you can see she was all smiles. Same was true when she toppled over. Our sweet daycare lady said she didn't even cry! As the week has gone on, her eye has turned black and blue, but it doesn't even seem to phase her. Such a tough girl!!

Not much else to report! I will be half days at the bank this week so I can spend time in my classroom getting things ready for the upcoming year. The weather is definitely getting cooler and some termination dust has been seen on the mountain tops!
Have a wonderful week everyone!!

First week of day care a success!

We kicked off the week with starting our new morning routine. Papa had to head back to work and that means Leinna was headed to day care. Momma was a bit worried about making sure everyone was ready and out the door on time, but we managed to do just fine. We even had a few minutes to snap a photo.
While Leinna wasn't too happy to see Momma leave in the morning, however, her wonderful day care provider snapped a photo to show us that she is having a great time!

Leinna was one tired little girl this week, but seems to have settled into a nice routine. Besides improving her skills in walking, Leinna is starting to wave and say bye-bye.
We are looking forward to a lazy, laid back weekend :o)
